Music Box “Starling Nesting Box” with Two Children by Wendt & Kühn is a hand made and hand painted music box with 18 note Swiss Musical movements, imported from Germany and is presented in a Wendt & Kühn Presentation gift box.

With the reissue of the music box, a small music box with figurines that are truly “in motion” returns to the collection after many years. Through countless hours of meticulous tinkering it became possible to integrate not only a musical mechanism but also a gear mechanism into the compact body of the box, allowing the turntable to rotate. Grete Wendt designed the music box before 1934, and even then, hand-painting the distinctive diamond pattern on its surface required true artistry. To this day, painting the 48 yellow diamonds and 96 green triangles remain a highly skilled craft.
