Nativity Scene Set 4 by Wendt & Kühn introduced in 2025 follows on the Nativity Scene Set 1 introduced in 2021, Nativity Scene Set 2 introduced in 2022, Stable for Nativity introduced in 2023, Nativity Scene Set 3 introduced in 2024. This set of three Palm Trees represents the perfect conclusion to the Nativity Scene.

Nativity Scene Set 4 consists of three Palm Trees. Two Palm Trees are approximately 8.5″ in height and one Palm Tree is approximately 9.75″ in height.

Inspired by Grete Wendt’s design of 1910/11, the figurines straight lines and minimalist style are akin to the form we would have first expected from the artists of the Bauhaus in 1919. The figurines display a simplicity and a richness of detail.

The distinctly curved leaves of the palm trees are made from fine wood shavings, the leaves of varying sizes are first stained and dried before the 30 palm fronds are carefully glued into the trunk, one by one, until even the final leaf is perfectly in place, and the lush crown of the tree takes shape. With their impressive height and striking silhouette, the palm trees complete the nativity scene – transforming it, with Mary, Joseph, the Baby Jesus, an angel, the kings, shepherds, sheep, and the stable, into a truly captivating Christmas display.
