Nativity Scene Set 3 by Wendt & Kühn introduced in 2024 follows on the Nativity Scene Set 1 introduced in 2021, Nativity Scene Set 2 introduced in 2022, and Stable for Nativity introduced in 2023.
Nativity Scene Set 3 consists of three pieces – King Melchior Kneeling in Cloak, King Balthasar Standing in Cloak, and King Caspar. The Nativity Scene figurines range in height from 2.5″ – 3.5″. Inspired by Grete Wendt’s design of 1910/11, the figurines straight lines and minimalist style are akin to the form we would have first expected from the artists of the Bauhaus in 1919. The figurines display a simplicity and a richness of detail giving this extraordinary group character. Additional figurines will be added over the next several years until the scene is complete.
