Nativity Scene Set 2 by Wendt & Kühn introduced in 2022 follows on the Nativity Scene Set 1 introduced in 2021 and consists of five pieces – Shepherd, Praying Shepherd, Shepherd with Lantern, Sheep Lying Down and Sheep Standing Up. The Nativity Scene figurines range in height from .75″ – 3.5″. Inspired by Grete Wendt’s design of 1910/11, the figurines straight lines and minimalist style are akin to the form we would have first expected from the artists of the Bauhaus in 1919. The figurines display a simplicity and a richness of detail giving this extraordinary group character. Additional figurines will be added over the next several years until the scene is complete.
