Angel Wearing Crown, Large, with Two Candles – Brings the Light of Christmas
With a serene expression and two luminous white wooden candles, this stately Crowned Angel brings warmth and welcome to the Christmas season. Originally designed by Olly Sommer—later Olly Wendt—before 1937, the historic figure was introduced into the current Wendt & Kühn collection in 2023.
Standing approximately 4.1 inches tall, the angel wears the signature golden crown, blond curls and beautifully patterned blue wings that distinguish the beloved Crowned Angel family. Its glossy coral-red robe is accented with delicate gold details, while two golden candle holders create an elegant, symmetrical silhouette.
Each candle is carefully crafted from wood and intended solely for decoration. Together, they symbolize light, hope and comfort during the darkest days of winter.
Larger than the familiar 2.25-inch Crowned Angels, this impressive heavenly messenger makes a beautiful focal point for an Advent or Christmas display. It also pairs wonderfully with the other large Crowned Angels, including the Angel with Candelabra and the Angel with Rectangular Basket.
