✨ Celebrating 100 Years of Marguerite Angels by Wendt & Kühn ✨
Step into a century of whimsy and charm with Wendt & Kühn’s beloved Marguerite Angels—those delicate wooden treasures that have captured hearts since 1925. From their debut sketch to today’s rich collection, they embody innocence, craftsmanship, and timeless joy.
🌼 Origins: A Blooming Beginning
On February 2, 1925, designer Olly Wendt (née Sommer) created the first Marguerite Angel—complete with a wreath of daisies, airy blue-and-white wings, and a sweet, childlike presence.
By 1929, three petite standing angels emerged, each holding a gift of cake, tree, or candle. New types followed through the decades: suspended angels, ring-hung pieces, and miniature story‑telling scenes.
🎨 Craftsmanship: Tiny Details, Big Heart
Each angel is handcrafted in Grünhainichen, Saxony, by skilled artisans. Most figurines are no taller than 1½ inches with some special pieces being 3 inches, yet they boast astonishingly fine details—berry baskets, paper stars, telescopes, and more—requiring unmatched precision and devotion.
